Timber colour difference

Same timber, the top timber was coated 5 years ago, the bottom one coated in December 2015.  The colour difference in the top one is due to polyurethane going a honey colour over time.  The solution is to sand entire floor or in this case allow sunlight to access bottom floor and it will turn honey colour over an estimated 3 year period.
