Carbonised Oak Hard wax oil satin finish

This floor is located in The Gap, Brisbane and is carbonised oak. I know you may be asking yourself what is carbonised oak well let me tell you. Carbonising Oak is where it is heat treated to burn off all the tannins and make it a dark colour like carbon. Oak is a slow growing and beautiful timber with a very recognisable grain.
